Sensei Marc was born in Gary, Indiana in 1967.  He is the youngest of 5 boys and was raised by his widowed mother.  At the age of 7, Sensei Marc saw his first martial arts movie,  He began training in Okinawan Shorin-ryu Karate at the International Judo and Karate dojo in Gary.

After joining the army, Sensei Marc discovered that some of his fellow soldiers in his platoon also studied martial arts.  So during basic training, whenever there was free time, the four soldiers would trade techniques.  Sensei Marc , while stationed at Ft. Carson, Co., helped to form a karate team with fellow soldiers and would often go to Denver, Co. to compete in tournaments.  Eventually the team began teaching self-defense to wives on base. The team went to Kentucky to compete in the AAU Nationals.

After leaving the Army, Sensei Marc moved to Haverhill, Ma.  After years of searching for a dojo and upon the request of his children to study martial arts, Sensei Marc eventually discovered the Methuen Karate Association dojo where he earned his 1st degree black belt.  Methuen Karate Association has been teaching Kyokushin karate for over 45 years and has awarded just 70 black belts. While a student at the MKA Karate, Sensei Marc taught karate at the Lawrence Boys & Girls Club and the Haverhill Ma YMCA.

March 26 of 2011, Sensei Marc opened 5 Dragons Martial Arts Academy at 57 Wingate St in Haverhill, Massachuetts where he is currently teaching Kyokushin karate.
